EXP is het Amsterdamse bluesrock powertrio rond multi-instrumentalist Karst van Oosten. De twee heren en dame spelen een mix van catchy eigen nummers en legendarische klassiekers van hun grootste invloeden waaronder o.a. Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin en Prince. Verwacht rauwe catchy songs, legendarische gitaarsolo’s, groovy riffs, en een flinke dosis showmanship. Klinkt als: Rival Sons, Joe Bonamassa, Lenny Kravitz, DeWolff, Triggerfinger.

EXP is the Amsterdam based blues rock power trio around multi-instrumentalist Karst van Oosten.

EXP get their main inspiration from the great blues rock and rhythm and blues acts of the ’60s and ’70’s like The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Cream, Free, Bad Company, AC/DC, Albert King, Howlin’ Wolf, Otis Redding, James Brown and Sly and the Family Stone, and aim to keep the blues rock tradition of playing alive: freely with a lot of room for improvisation and songs aren’t played the same every show, an approach similar to that of contempory bands such as Rival Sons, Joe Bonamassa, Matt Schofield, Wolfmother, Dewolff and Triggerfinger and Greta Van Fleet

Focus isn’t on over-production, added electronic sounds and a lot of effects, but instead on raw and honest rock, heavy riffs, catchy songs, groove, improvisation and musicianship.
